Bog House Pub stands on the foundation of 'Body in the Bog,' a piece of Fresno's history that has brought the spirit of a traditional euro-pub to Fresno. While the echoes of its past linger, we've transformed this space into a haven for beer lovers and pub enthusiasts. “My go to spot for imported Europian beer, I have family in England and visited often around a decade ago and always loved a few of the beers they had their. Two of which being London Pride and Old Speckled Hen and when the Bog House got OSH on nitro I knew I’d be coming back. I’d often request London Pride and the bar tenders told me that they had been working on getting it from their distributor and I was able to get a few pints so I really appreciate them for that. Very Irish style pub that is small but if you love good beer you will not be disappointed, they even have a few local taps and some taps from California breweries if thats more to your liking.”
“It is a beer bar. Yes they have good wine in clunky glasses, sangria by the pint, and a few ciders, but you come here for the beer. You stay for the unique characters. The guests are chill, the game is always on, and if you’re lucky enough to arrive on a theme night (pirates), you’ll be sucked into having a good time! Always a great place for a pint.”
“This place is an absolute treasure. I’ve seen in it since we lived around the corner when I was in middle school. It’s been through many names and owners im sure but I decided for the first time to come in and spend a lazy afternoon. I feel so at home. Dino is the owner, he is so friendly without being fake. He’s just chilling while answering my many, MANY questions. He is so knowledgeable about beer and is so cool to talk to! They don’t have food yet but will have pub bites very soon, as well as expanding into a full bar. The space itself is exceptionally clean-like the cleanest I’ve ever seen a bar! It’s also well decorated with the most appreciated pinch of kitsch. So cool to see a locally owned, rooted staple doing well. Will be back when they have food so I can lounge around and talk to more regulars on a lazy afternoon!”
